We just finished the nominationphase and start now the last step:

THE VOTING!

Everyone with an inzane.de account can vote now for exactly one person/clan in each category.

Altogether we got 880 nominations, after deleting all doublenominations there were still 716 left. The most nominations were done by evi (113), Kr4zY (112) and Szatan (49). Congratulation Maybe there are still some doublenominations left, if you see one, please write a comment in this news, not in the category. Thanks.

The voting will end at silvester (31.12.06).

Same procedure as every year: For the fourth time iNzanE is now presenting the end-of-the-year voting which will allow you to elect the best, worst, sexiest and most idiotic player of the UT community.

The voting's procedure will be as follows:
First you'll be able to nominate as many players/clans for each category as you want. It's enough to mention a player/clan once, double-nominations will be deleted! This is NOT the real voting!!!

After that the real voting is going to start and you can finally vote your favourite in each category.

The schedule is looking like this:
10.12. - 18.12.: nomination phase
18.12. - 31.12.: voting
01.01.: results

Hello guys. The year is going to an end!
It's time to vote the best i-only-play-for-godlike player of the year and of course best nick ever again! The Script is ready to go, but there's a problem...
I'm not sure if anyone is still visiting our page... So if you read this and you want to have the voting, leave a comment.
Of course tell your mom/dad about it and call all your friends.

Ok just 7 comments, but thats more then i expected I removed most of the unpopular categories from last year, to get a much smaller number and hopefully a better overview over the groups. If you think something major is missing, leave a comment.

Whats new... Lets see:

• Of course everything was rescripted and optimised.
  
• There are already many things cachable, for example the overview page is only updated once every hour. I will add more cached pages after a small testing phase.
  
• For registered users only - I added a Watchlist. What is a Watchlist? You can add players to a watchlist and then use this watchlist for the list item and the ranking. Only matches with players in the selected watchlist will be shown untill you leave the watchlist. Just try it out
  
• You can hide match information that you dont want to see. Just use the click here image.. Easy stuff..
  
• For registered users only - For registered users the hide/show match informations options are stored in the database and will get used as defaults for the user.
  
• Some layout stuff..
  
• Teamcolors are now recorded right and printed right
  
• I added a Killmatrix where you can see who killed who.
  
• I added some nice daily stats on the overview page where you can see The Best of The BEST of the last day
  
• You can finaly see on which ffa the stats where created
  
• You can select a time period for the ranking and on some other positions.
  
• removed the country stats and the old mapstats and added some new stats.
  
• added a matchlog like the one the mv bot is creating on IRC, but removed it because it sucked
  
• Fixed many many bugs...

After 3 years i finally recoded the whole website... Some of the scripts were even older. You will ask now what did I change? Looks all the same...
To be honest I don't know what I changed. It was so much, that I totally lost track of it. Some major things i can remember:

• XHTML 1.0 conform
  
• CSS2.1 conform (except the iNzanE admin page)
  
• Search engine optimation (hopefully)
  
• Optimised PHP code on almost every page
• Implementing a self written caching system
  
• Implementing a captcha class for human detection
  
• A self written ip2country class that is ULTRA FAST!! YAYA
  
• New backup scripts for the page and the DB
  
• New user management (not sure if everything works yet)
  
• Added a new members map for our European members
  
• Totally new written UTStats with a lot more features. (more about that separately later)
  
• Recoded every other page item...

I will add more stuff to the list after I remember them. The new UTStats will be open for business as soon as I finished the database convertion. ETA is around later this day or tomorrow.
New code is mostly not perfect and so is this code I already found some of the bugs and I'm working on them. If you find one please let me know on the comments or on IRC. Especially all other browsers then Firefox are interesting...
